Living the gospel
Living the gospel
We believe the development of a spiritual identity is integral to a student's wellbeing. An integral part of any child’s education should include some contemplation of those ‘overwhelming questions’ which will continue to follow them through adulthood.
At All Saints we welcome students from all faiths and none. Every member of our community belongs and is valued.
Christian Living is taught by the chaplains and specialist teachers as a classroom subject from Pre Prep to Year 11. During these lessons, students are invited to reflect on the values inherent in the Gospel in the context of contemporary life. This encourages higher-order thinking, self-reflection and moral and ethical deliberation, respectful of other faiths and belief systems.
Students also participate in weekly chapel services in our beautiful All Saints Chapel. Our chaplaincy team encourages students to explore aspects of their faith in order to create a framework upon which they can rely when life's biggest questions become more urgent.
Once a year, we also hold family services for each cohort from Pre Prep to Year 12. They are a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together.
“We have become quite adept as a society at nurturing our physical and emotional well-being, but we are born with a spiritual identity too, and young people need some guidance in this area more than ever before.”— Patrick Wallas, Headmaster
